This privacy policy sets out how Mama Bear Photography uses and protects any information that you give Mama Bear Photography when you use this website.

Mama Bear Photography is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Mama Bear Photography may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 18th March 2018.

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place a booking, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. All data collected is stored on password protected devices for security purposes and the only time it will be shared with any third parties is to aid your experience with Mama Bear Photography, including but not limited to:

·       Delivery and postage providers to allow us to send any orders you have placed or documentation you may have requested to be sent physically rather than digitally

·       Manufacturers or products and print labs in order for them to send an order directly to you if necessary/requested by you

·       Law enforcement/legal requirements – we will provide data to law enforcement agencies if issued with a court order to do so

 

how long is data stored?

Most data collected is stored indefinitely. This is to allow us to provide a better service to you as a client in the event that you contact us again in the future. We are legally obliged to store some data for a minimum amount of time, for example sale order records, payment records etc.

 

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your personal information is secure. We take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices and have in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If a material breach of any of our devices occurs we will notify any holders of data within 48 hours.

 

Squarespace

Our store is hosted on Squarespace, Inc. (Squarespace). They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Squarespace's data storage, databases and the general Squarespace application. They store your data on secure databases protected via a variety of industry-standard access controls. Secure passwords, SSL encryption, disk-based encryption, firewalls, and other measures are in place that helps them to protect your data. However, no company, including Squarespace, can fully eliminate security risks associated with the transmission of personal information through online transactions, and you do so at your own risk.

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

Squarespace uses third party payment processors to assist it in processing your personally identifiable payment information securely. Such third party processors’ use of your personal information is governed by their respective privacy policies which may or may not contain privacy protections as protective as this privacy policy. Squarespace uses the services of Peer1 Hosting for their website and for Squarespace managed websites. Personal information hosted by or through Squarespace is subject to Peer1 Hosting’s privacy policy which may or may not contain terms as protective as this privacy policy.
